Waco Homecoming Association

Founded as the Waco Firefighters Association back in 1942, the Waco Homecoming Festival was a major funding source for Waco Fire Station #2 when the township fire service was an all volunteer force. 

Canton Township, like many others, transitioned to a dual full-time staff and volunteer department back in the 1980's. As demands for emergency services increased and the availability of volunteer staff decreased the Township created a part-time firefighter/paramedic position as well, eventually eliminating the volunteer firefighter position a number of years ago. 

However, the Waco Homecoming Festival continues!

Today, the association is no longer affiliated with the Canton Twp. Fire Dept. We are dedicated to continuing the tradition that is the Waco Homecoming Festival.

The revenue generated by the festival goes back into maintenance and improvements of the Homecoming grounds, and helping residents in need in the Waco community.
